Mal is the licensed skipper, meeting all the stringent New Zealand Marine Department regulations so you can be assured you are in safe hands. Mal has done a large amount of off-shore sailing in the past using all the high tech GPS navigation aids and all the other safety gear which "Silent Charm" is equipped, however over more recent years most activities have been cruising the beautiful waters of the Hauraki Gulf.

Dream Charters operate out of Pine Harbour Marina in East Auckland, New Zealand. This is one of the closest marinas to the beautiful Hauraki Gulf, one of the worlds' best sailing areas with more than 50 islands, some being extinct volcanoes and others being bird sanctuaries to circumnavigate or explore. Many also have beautiful beaches to go ashore for a swim or for lunch. The magnificent Hauraki Gulf is our main cruising area and popular with young and old.

Auckland is called "The City of Sails". It is rumored more people in Auckland own or sail boats than anywhere else on earth. Once you experience it you will know why.
 

  

Under Sail

Day trips can go to places like the bottom end of Waiheke Island and Ponui Island. There are so many islands in the Hauraki Gulf to choose from. Overnight cruises can also be done fairly close in, however for several nights to a week, we can cover areas like Kawau Island, the very beautiful Great Barrier Island and the Coromandel Peninsula. For multi day cruises the world famous Bay of Islands featuring Piercy Island and the famous "Hole in the Rock" up the north of the North Island of New Zealand is another popular choice.
